About Us
Colorado Mountain Mamas was founded by Joy Opp (and her daughter Amanda) in the spring of 2003 when Amanda was about 4 months old. Joy is a native of Colorado and avid hiker. Her passion for encouraging moms to get outside with their new babies is the foundation of Mountain Mamas.
We now have several amazing women who lead hikes all over the Denver and Colorado Springs area and we often have multiple events per day! Each of our hike leaders is trained and certified and has something unique to offer this group. They each bring a special quality of caring and community to Mountain Mamas.
